Our strategy is simple: lawyer the heck out of the other team.

And we've got just the players for that.

Diego Frias

I am a senior Political Science major. This is my third year being involved in mock trial and my second as captain. Since its my last year on the team, I am itching to reach the finals in Los Angeles! When I am not doing mock trial, I am usually working in the school senate, newspaper, or watching soccer.

Jesús Ramos

I was peer pressured into mock trial and I have yet to regret this decision. I am majoring in Drama, but you can usually find me watching soccer, taking pictures, or working in graphic design. Fun fact: I also designed and developed this website.

Sydney Keller

I am a senior, double majoring in Psychology and Political Science. I am also in the pre-law program as well as the honors program. I am an enthusiastic student, third year mocker, and peer tutor. I aspire to be a family lawyer and run my own law firm. For fun, I practice mock trial and play magic the gathering.

Javier Gonzalez

I am a native Texan, majoring in Accounting and Finance. I hope to go to law school at UT and practice law in Houston. I have also been working as a legal assistant for 2 years. My hobbies are playing rugby and racquetball.

Jordi Vargas

My name is Jordi Vargas and I attend the University of St.Thomas. I'm a freshman and I am majoring in Political Science. Also, I am an athlete, a musician, and a member of the Mock Trial team at St. Thomas.

Kevin Shaghaghi

I am one of UST's campus faces as I am active and involved in just about anything and everything from being a Senator for Student Government to co-captain on the UST Mock Trial team. The son of immigrant parents and a first generation American, I have continuously lived up to all standards of excellence while still having time to enjoy the fun parts of being a college student. I am currently working on getting into Law School and pursuing my Legal career.

Bryon Makel

I am currently a junior at St. Thomas. I am pursuing bachelor's degrees in Communications and Political Science, with a minor in Pre-Law. I am also a member of the school's basketball team. After graduation, I plan to attend law school.

Milton Hernandez

I am a senior student athlete for the men's soccer program and third year mocker at UST. I am planning to attend law school at Houston College of Law following graduation. My goal is to be able to speak for those who cannot be heard, as Gandhi once said, "Be the change you wish you see in the world."  I am a senior and a Political Science Major with double concentration in Pre-Law and Public Administration, and a minor in Psychology.

Marisol Granados

I am a junior, majoring in Psychology. I work as a teller at Wells Fargo, I am Vice President of UNICEF at my school, and I commute about 12 hours a week. I aspire to become a public interest lawyer so that I can defend people who can't afford to have a lawyer otherwise. My dream job would be to eventually become a judge.

Shannon Miekka

I am a freshman pursuing a joint major in Political Science and Communications. When I was in kindergarten, I managed my sister's campaign for Student Body President and have had a love for politics ever since.

Jacob Dilworth

Currently a junior, with aspirations to attend a prestigious law school. I want to focus on criminal law, and eventually be a criminal judge. My favorite movie is Gran Torino and my favorite actress is Meryl Streep. I love photography, reading, walks in the park, religion, politics, and a good Manhattan.

Anita Creech

I am a freshman and a Political Science and Pre Law major. I'm from Katy Texas and work at the Monty Ballard YMCA. In my free time I like to workout with friends, spend time with my family and binge watch Netflix. My favorite Netflix shows are Grey's Anatomy, How To Get Away With Murder, and Scandal. I hope one day to become a family lawyer and then one day a judge.

Carlos Gutierrez

I'm a junior Accounting major and this is my first time ever doing anything like mock trial. Having joined mock trial late I thought I was going to have trouble getting adjusted to the team, however, after playing three character witnesses and winning an award at an All-Regional Tournament, I think mock trial has been a great experience so far. In the near future, I wish to go to law school and then remain in Texas to practice law.
